The barn is preserved by the friends of Wilson Barn. The site holds flower shows, car shows throughout the summer. Livonia's farmer's market is held every Saturday from May to Mid October. Wilson Barn Livonia MI is listed as an historic site at both state and national levels. Ira Wilson married Mary Smith of nearby Plymouth Township in the year 1888. Twenty years later he would build for her the family farm mansion.
