Here are some tips to help sell your Metro Detroit home.

1. Pull out pictures of your yard and home in the summer, spring, and fall.  When the flowers are blooming or everything is green.  Put them in a folder and open them up.  Put them out in a conspicuous area like the kitchen table or counter top.  Metro Detroit home buyers like to see the house in the summer season.
2. Keep your home warm.  I was in a house yesterday that was 57 degrees.  It was cold.  And I have been in homes colder than that.  You want the home buyers not to run out of your house.  You want them to stay, to feel comfortable, to feel at home.  You want them to see the whole house.  A cold house will not accomplish that.  That will shorten the time a buyer stays in your house.
3. Shovel the walks and driveway.  Make it easy and safe to get in and out of your house.
4. Put a mat in the front entrance way.  That gives the buyer the impression that you care about people not messing up your house.
5. Turn on the lights in every room.  A bright cheery house is more inviting to Michigan home buyers.  So turn on every light possible to show off your home and it's features.  Michigan's winter days are usually gloomy.  So if your home is a haven to the gloomy or wintery day then you have a better chance of impressing the buyer.
6. If you have a gas fireplace turn it on.  You are setting the stage of comfort and warmth.  Don't worry about spending a few dollars on electricity and gas for lights or the fireplace.  It is money well spent.
7. If you want people to take off their shoes provide booties to slip over their shoes or slippers to put on to keep their feet warm.

Selling a Michigan home is all about setting the stage to make the home buyer feel comfortable and make them feel this could be the home for them.
