Basement Mold II - Buying Farmington Hills foreclosuresWhen buying a Farmington Hills foreclosure you might run across a foreclosure that has basement mold. Should you automatically cross this foreclosure off your list? Well the questions I have for you are: 1. Do you have asthma? 2. Do you have breathing problems? 3. Does any of your family have asthma or breathing problems? 4. Are you handy? 5. Do you have remodeling experience? 6. How bad is the mold? 7. Do you have the money to mediate and redo the basement? 8. Do you have the knowledge to remediate the mold? If you or any of your family have breathing problems or asthma I would run from a house with mold. I wouldn't recommend buying any Farmington Hills foreclosure with mold. The second part is time, knowledge, ability, and money to remove and make the basement right. You need to have the time and money to re-do the basement if you have to remove the walls or ceiling the costs may add up. There are lots of places on line to learn how to remediate mold on line, so it is possible to do it yourself. If you have to hire a mold remediation company it may cost you a lot of money. So I wouldn't necessarily cross off buying a Farmington Hills foreclosure with basement mold if you or your family doesn't have breathing problems. It could be a way to grab a good house that has a problem that can be easily remedied. Read the rest of my series on basement mold.
