 Would I buy a Canton home with attic mold?  It depends on you and the severity of the mold.

Let's deal with the severity of the mold in the Canton home you are buying.

Attic Mold - Attic mold can be remediated and can be stopped from coming back.  Most attic mold in Canton homes is caused by poor ventilation or insulation being stuffed into the soffets.  The air in your attic has to have a way to escape.  So you have to put in more roof vents and or pull the attic insulation away from the edges of your attic trusses.

If there is major mold throughout the attic and the roof needs to be replaced.  It may pay to put new plywood down.  But a licensed mold remediation company can solve the problem where it is safe to live in that Canton home.

If you have asthma or breathing problems buying a Canton home with mold could be hazardous to your health.  Again it boils down to how bad is your asthma?  My opinion is if you have asthma and the mold is bad then it is not in your best interest to buy that Canton home.
