Here is a Canton MI real estate update on Median home prices.  The median price is simply the price at which half of the homes sold are more expensive and the other half are less expensive.

Let say in this reporting period of Canton median home prices.... the median price of that neighborhood has risen, it does not affect over all values of the homes. It just means that more of the expensive side of the median sold in that reporting period. The same is true when the Canton median price declines. It only means that more of the less expensive homes sold.  But the median home price also shows the overall price trend of the area.

Right now the Median home prices of Canton real estate has fallen dramatically in the last few years.  Not only has the home prices fallen but it also showing that more lower price homes are selling than higher price homes.
