Don't use gas in a fire pit or on a bonfireNever! Never! Never! USE GASOLINE TO START A FIRE! This should be common sense but I have to do this blog, because there is a Metro Detroit man facing charges for setting his child on fire. He poured gasoline on a some wood to start a fire. The gasoline exploded. What a lot of people don't realize is that liquid gas doesn't really catch on fire. It is the vapors that cause an explosion. It is especially bad if it is inside of a home. I had a sister-in-law that burnt her parents home down because she used gas to start a fire in the fireplace. She was lucky and didn't get hurt, but it could be a very dangerous situation. The reason I bring this topic up is this morning is that I feel sorry for this stupid guy. I was watching the news and the story was sad all the way around. His arms were bandaged all the way past his elbows and he had handcuffs on. He looked so sad. I am sure he is feeling awful for accidently setting his child on fire. That would devastate me. It's the fall season where we see a few more bonfires in the Metro Detroit area. So please don't ever use gasoline to start a fire.
