Metro Detroit home seller tips - use only one photo

Metro Detroit home seller tips

My advice is to use only one photo on your Metro Detroit home listing when putting on the internet ------ IF THE HOUSE IS TRASHED INSIDE.  You don't want to show:

  • the non updated kitchen (especially if it has plywood cabinets)
  • the 1970's green shag carpeting
  • the rooms full of wall paper (especially the kitchen vegetables or fruit wall paper)
  • the holes in the wall
  • the mold in the basement
  • the non updated bathroom (especially if it has the green tile or Pink and Black tile)
  • the cluttered junk filled rooms
  • the dirty, marked up, unpainted walls
  • the outdated windows
  • the velvet Elvis wall hanging
  • the beautiful linoleum flooring
  • your collection of (clowns, old farm tools, animal heads, southwestern decor, to name a few)

The goal is to get the home buyer into your house.  So my Metro Detroit home seller tip is to use the least amount of photos possible when you have nothing to show.

If the kitchen is small or out dated. DON'T TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.  If back yard backs up to a commercial building.  DON'T TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.  If the dog has torn up the wood work.  DON'T TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.

That's the best home selling tip I can give if the home is below par.  You have to get the buyer inside.

Saving A Deal : Pointers

My quote of the date:

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."
