If you are a first time Novi home buyer you are probably trying to decide whether you should buy a Novi home or Novi condo.  Let me give you a few pros and cons of both.

Novi condos  -  Pro - You don't have to take care of the outside.  No snow shoveling, no grass cutting, no outside painting.  So if you are busy professional this frees up your weekends a little bit to do other things.  Or if you travel a lot you don't have to worry about having your snow shoveled for you.

                       Con - Novi condos do not appreciate as fast or as much as Novi homes.  I am basing this on past experience.  Novi homes tend to appreciate faster. 

Novi Homes - Pro - You have nobody right next to you and you don't have tough association rules that you have to abide by.  You can plant flowers, or change the landscape any way you want.  You can paint your front door any color you want.  You have freedom to do more and be more individualistic than you do in a condo.

                        Con - You have to maintain the outside of the house.  You have to cut the grass, repair the roof, clean the gutters or pay to have somebody to it.
