Novi real estateWell we have been working to buy a piece of Novi real estate for one of my clients. Most people think it is easy to buy a home, but sometimes things go wrong. That's where I come in. It's my job to smooth the problem out, to resolve it if I can. If the client still wants the house then we try to work out the issues. Last week on of my inspections went bad. There was mold in the house, there were furnace issues, and there was a foundation issue. The seller came back with $1000 reduction in price. The seller just thought the mold and furnace were minor issues that would go away. But with some talking to the other agent, I was able to stress that my clients wanted the house. I stressed to the other agent that the issues would have to be resolved with any buyer. I was able to convince them that they might as well fix the issues with a solid buyer rather than start all over with a new buyer. So the seller has hired a mold remediation company, a furnace repair company, and taking care of the foundation issue. We are on the way to the closing table. My clients are happy the repairs are being done and they are getting the house. And the seller is happy the house is sold. That's what we work for. Getting both sides to the closing table with terms, and a price they can live with.
