Preparing your pet for a moveMaking your pets move easier
1. One of the first steps you need to take to protect your pet during your move is too make sure your pet has tags. You don't want to lose your dog or cat if they get loose. Your new Metro Detroit home is strange to them, your pet won't know their way home if they get lost. 2. Bring your pet after the move in day. You and your family are usually stressed and going a hundred different directions. Your pet can sense that. People are going in and out of open doors. If you can take your pet for a walk or leave him at the old house until move in day is over with it will make your pet less stressed. 3. Spend time with your pet. Take your pet around the home and around the yard. Let your pet get used to the surroundings at their pace. Keep the loud noises to a minimum. They will feel more at home or more secure if you are near or with them. 4. Check out your new house and yard for anything that may be dangerous to your pet. The old home owner might have used poisons or left hazardous liquids uncapped. 4. If you have a Michigan relocation from out of state bring your pets records with you and make sure their shots are up to date. Prepare your pets for your Metro Detroit move. They are too precious to lose. Russ Ravary Your Oakland County real estate specialist
