Real estate agents don't really do this do they?

As some of you know, I lost my lovely wife Marianne to breast cancer in July.  I am slowly moving forward in life and some of the ways I am copinge is to bury myself in work, keep extremely busy, and to go to grief counseling.  Well last month I went to a grief counseling meeting in Novi, and I was stunned to hear another man say that he had gotten about 5 cards from real estate agents after his wife's death.  I was flabbergasted I would never even think of doing that.

We have all heard of ambulance chasing attorneys, but obituary chasing real estate agents? It's just not right. ambulance chasing realtors                    tacky realtor

One agent had even called this poor fella.  I myself find that tacky, being in the situation myself.  You never know what it feels like to lose a loved one until you go through it yourself.  But they recommend not to make any major decisions such as buying or selling a house in the first year after the death of a loved one.  Losing a loved one ranks as one of the most stressful time in one's life.  So you don't need some real estate agent trying to make a buck calling you to sell your house.  IT IS JUST PLAIN TACKY!!!!!

I guess each agent has their own way of getting business.  I just find it in poor taste to call on somebody that is hurt in the hospital to be their attorney, or to call on somebody that just lost a loved one to be their real estate agent.

But that is just my thoughts.
