Yes as you know most of this Northville demographic information is from the 2000 census, but I don't think it has changed much.  There has not been a tremendous amount of building in the City of Northville.

1855 - Michigan State University was founded as the nation's first land-grant university and served as the model for 69 land-grant institutions later established under the Morrill Act of 1862. It was the nation's first institution of higher learning to teach scientific agriculture.

Alpena is the home of the world's largest cement plant. 

 The Packard Motor Car Company in Detroit manufactured the first air-conditioned car in 1939.

That the saying "the real McCoy" originated from a Michigan inventor named Elijah J. McCoy.  Elijah was a black inventor raised in Ypsilanti in 1872, patented the first automatic lubrication system for locomotives and other machinery. The device was so effective it was difficult to sell imitations that were not "the real McCoy"; McCoy's name became synonymous with anything genuine or authentic.

 The Detroit Zoo was the first zoo in America to feature cageless, open-exhibits that allowed the animals more freedom to roam.

Indian River is the home of the largest crucifix in the world. It is called the Cross in the Woods.

Michigan is called the Wolverine State, they thought there were no wolverines in Michigan.  However supposedly, one was spotted in 2007, so hopefully there is at least one.

I was tempted one too many times in the last day.  I have been on a diet now since the beginning of January.  I have gone through a couple of day stay in the hospital for kidney stones but stuck to my diet.  Last night I was tempted my sister and brother in law to go out to dinner.  But thank goodness they are much older than me.  You know how those old folks are they have to eat by 5:30.  Unfortunately we called at 5:00. 

They had already eaten down at Lafayette Coney Island.  So I was safe for another day on my diet.

But today I crashed.  My diet died.  I was tempted twice in 24 hours.  Today one of my clients that owns a Italian Bakery brought me Cannolis for me and my wife.

 I gave up I needed good food.  So I am off the diet and back to eating great food.  And those Cannolis from Italia Bakery were delicious.  My wife loved them and she's full blooded Italian.  She doesn't pass many cannolis, but she really liked these.

I'm back to eating great dinners from my wife Marianne.  I hate diets!!!

Short sale - should be called long sale.  Where a seller is trying to sell a home for less than what they owe,  They must get the banks approval to do so.
