West Bloomfield has plenty of lake front real estate to chose from with over 25 lakes that cover 1858.7 acres or 14.3% of the land. West Bloomfield Township has more lakes and ponds than that of any other township in the United States except for one Township in Minnesota.   

 There are little pond, small lakes that only good for swimming, some lakes only good for kayaking, and canoes. There are six all sports lakes that I know of.  I don't know if Hammond Lake are all sports lakes or even allow motors.  Last time I knew Hammond Lake was a non motorized lake.
