Canton Michigan is bordered by Plymouth Township to the North, and VanBuren Township to the South.  Wayne and Westland border Canton to the East and Superior Township is to the West.  US-12 ( Michigan Avenue) & I-275 run through the city.  These 2 roads and highways connect to any highway in the Metro Detroit area.   It takes about 25 minutes to get to Downtown Detroit and Ann Arbor from Canton.  Canton Michigan sits about halfway between Detroit and Ann Arbor.  It is a short 20 minute ride to Detroit Metro Airport.  From Canton it is a short ride to I-94, M-14, and I-96.  Canton is on the west side of Detroit located in Wayne county.
